Dear Comrades,
Warm revolutionary greetings to all members of the All India Bank Officers Confederation.
As you are aware, pursuant to the call given by the United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU), all officers and employees across the banking industry are to observe Black Badge Wearing on 2nd May 2026 while at work, in a united demonstration of our collective resolve.
The printable PDF version of the badge is available at the link provided below. All comrades are requested to click the link, download the PDF, take a printout, and wear it prominently while on duty.

This is not a mere symbolic act. It is a declaration.
A declaration that Five-Day Banking is not a concession, but a long-pending and legitimate demand, one that reflects the evolving nature of banking work, work-life balance, and global standards. It is an issue deeply embedded in our collective aspirations and dignity.
At the same time, we must resolutely oppose the divisive Performance Linked Incentive (PLI) framework, which is being sought to be imposed without meaningful bilateral engagement. This scheme attempts to fragment the officer community by creating differential incentives across cadres. Such measures are nothing but a calculated attempt to weaken our unity, the very foundation of our strength.
Let us be clear: offering higher incentives to Scale IV and above may appear attractive on the surface, but beneath it lies a far more dangerous design. Today it is differential incentives; tomorrow it will, very well translate into selective performance reviews, premature retirements, and forced exits under the guise of “public interest.” Once this precedent is institutionalised, it will not spare anyone. The very comrades who are today placed at a perceived advantage may find themselves most vulnerable tomorrow.
This struggle, therefore, is not confined to two demands alone. It is about preserving the unity, dignity, and future of the entire officer fraternity. It is about asserting that we stand together, irrespective of scale, designation, or role.
Let 2nd May be a day of visible solidarity. Let every badge worn speak louder than words. Let it send a clear message
We call upon each one of you to participate wholeheartedly in this programme. Encourage your colleagues. Spread awareness. Stand shoulder to shoulder.
With comradely greetings,
