We wish to inform you that the Confederation has formally taken up the issue of deployment of bank officers for election duty with the Chief Electoral Officer, Kerala.

In our representation, we have strongly highlighted the serious concerns arising out of acute staff shortage, the critical role of bank officers in essential public utility services, and the operational difficulties caused, particularly in respect of key holding officers. We have also urged the authorities to ensure minimal deployment of bank officers in line with Election Commission guidelines and to avoid assigning them duties that would disrupt normal banking operations.
