Dear Team AIBOC Kerala and Affiliate Leaders,

This is to place on record a clarification regarding the agitation call issued by Trade Unions in the banking industry, as communicated through the joint circular on Solidarity towards the Struggle of Central Trade Unions.

As is already known, the banking unions have extended fraternal support to the ongoing nationwide struggle of the Central Trade Unions opposing the retrogressive Labour Codes and other anti-labour provisions, which undermine job security, collective bargaining, and fundamental labour rights. Our solidarity has been formally conveyed vide the Joint Circular dated 31.01.2026, wherein AIBEA, AIBOC, NCBE, AIBOA, BEFI, INBEF and INBOC have expressed a united stand.

In continuation of the above, and in order to ensure organisational discipline, unity of action, and effective participation, all Affiliate Leaders and District Committees are hereby advised to strictly note and comply with the following instructions:

1. District-level Protest on 11th February 2026

   On the evening of 11th February 2026, protest demonstrations / dharnas will be organised as part of the agitation programme. All District Secretaries shall ensure mobilisation and participation of officer members in these programmes, in coordination with our affiliates & also the constituent unions.

All Affiliate Leaders shall please  ensure that no officer member acts in a manner detrimental to the organisational call, contrary to the spirit of solidarity, or against the collective interests of the organisation. 

2. No Extra-Ordinary or Clerical Work by Officers 

   Since AIBOC has extended fraternal support to the strike on 12th February 2026, it is imperative that officer members do not extend any extra or special cooperation to the management during the agitation period. 
   Officers shall strictly desist from performing clerical, subordinate, or non-officer duties, as such actions directly dilute the collective struggle and amount to indirectly sabotaging the strike action.

Any act that weakens the strike or assists management in neutralising its impact shall be firmly discouraged.

Let us reaffirm our commitment to the broader cause and ensure that our fraternal support is reflected not merely in words but strong resolve & action
