Clarification on Zone Options in Request Transfer Portal (Union Parivar)

Dear Comrades,

Many officers had sought clarification on whether it is mandatory to apply for three zones and three regions in each zone while submitting applications through the Union Parivar Request Transfer Portal.

The matter was taken up with Central Office HR, and the clarification received is as follows:

• It is not mandatory to select three zones.
• Officers are permitted to submit their request with only one zone, if they so choose.
• The choice of opting for a second or third zone is entirely at the discretion of the officer.
• If an officer prefers only one zone and is not willing to accept transfer elsewhere, they may apply by selecting one zone along with three regions within that zone.

Accordingly, officers who wish to restrict their request to a single preferred zone may do so while submitting their application.
