Dear Comrades,

It has come to our notice that several branches across the State are receiving directions from local authorities to register in the e-DROP system and to provide staff details for election duty.

In this regard, AIBOC Kerala has taken up the matter with the State Election Commission, submitting a detailed representation citing the existing exemption to nationalised banks from election deployment, as per the relevant circulars of the Election Commission of India and the State Election Commission.

We have requested the Commission to reiterate the exemption and to instruct District Election Officers and Collectors not to seek bank officers for poll duty.

We remain steadfast in our commitment to protect the interests of officers and to ensure the uninterrupted functioning of essential banking services.
